Millennium Family Resource Centre provides family and community support in the Slieveardagh area in the SE of the county

Millennium Family Resource Centre provides family support within the local community through information provision, activities and programmes that focus on strengthening the family’s ability to provide a nurturing environment for all family members. These supports include:

• One to one parenting support
• Group parenting programmes
• Affordable counselling for adults along with youth specific counselling
• Bereavement support
• Play therapy for children, aged 4 - 14 years
• Creative Mindfulness programmes for children
• Health & Wellbeing programmes for adults

The Family Resource Centre also provides a preschool service & homework club, Brothers of Charity Day Centre, Meals on Wheels Service & social programmes for older adults, Women’s Groups and Men’s Shed, Community Education Programme, Breastfeeding Support Group, and Parent & Toddler Group.

Eligibility: Families in the Slieveardagh area.

Referrals: Referrals are made through Túsla, Schools and Pre-schools, GPs, Public Health Nurses, families and self-referrals.
