North Tipperary Traveller Youth Project, YWIT

The North Tipperary Traveller Youth Project is run by Youth Work Ireland Tipperary (YWIT) and provides youth work services and programmes to young Travellers in North Tipperary, particularly in Thurles and Littleton.

The ethos of the project is social inclusion, equality and respect for all service users. The project aims to support young Travellers to access supports, personal and social development programs and activities in an integrated and inclusive manner that promotes these values.  The project has a particular focus on early school leaving and the provision of educational supports.

Target Group: Young people aged 8 – 18 years from the Traveller and settled communities.
