Male Advice Line offers confidential advice and support to male victims of domestic violence and abuse over the phone. It is managed by the Men’s Development Network and is supported and funded by Tusla’s Domestic, Sexual and Gender Based Violence section.
The service is staffed by fully qualified Counsellors and Psychotherapists who have been specifically trained in this area of work. Callers can be assured that at all times they will be treated with the utmost respect and confidentiality.

A Men’s Shed is a dedicated, friendly and welcoming meeting place where men come together and undertake a variety of mutually agreed activities.
All Men’s Sheds are independent and self-autonomous, and the range of activities carried out by sheds can differ from one to the next. Most sheds engage in activities such as woodwork, gardening, carpentry and community work. However, there are more special interests sheds that focus on things like music, fishing and restoration work.

MEND (men ending domestic abuse) is a project of the Men’s Development Network which delivers Domestic Violence Intervention Programmes to men who have been violent or abusive within the context of their intimate partner relations. Men referred or self-referring to the programme begin with a few assessment meetings to establish their suitability for the programme and their level of risk. If accepted onto the programme they complete up to 10 one-to-one pre-group sessions before beginning 23 group sessions of the Choices Programme, which contains 6 modules.

MyMind offers affordable on-line and face-to-face counselling and psychotherapy in 15 different languages to children, adults, couples and families. The service is provided by mental health professionals experienced in dealing with a wide range of issues, such as stress, depression, anxiety, self-esteem and communication issues, burnout, anger and bereavement. The service also offers creative art therapy for children and young people. Sessions for children and young people are exclusively face-to-face.
Narcotics Anonymous is a non-profit, international, community-based organization for recovering addicts. Narcotics Anonymous (NA) members learn from one another how to live drug-free and recover from the effects of addiction in their lives. The NA programme is one of complete abstinence from all drugs, including alcohol.
NCBI offers community based services to help people to adapt to sight loss and maintain their independence. These services include emotional support to the individual experiencing loss of vision and to their families, advice and information on all aspects of vision loss as well as practical support and solutions to the challenges encountered by people with vision loss. OUTstanding is a youthwork group for LGBT young people run by Youthwork Ireland Tipperary. As well as meeting as a countywide group once a month, local OUTstanding groups also meet weekly in Templemore and Tipperary town.

Pieta provides a professional, caring, one-to-one therapeutic service for people who are experiencing suicidal thoughts, people who have attempted suicide and people who are engaging in self-harm.
Pieta offers free self-harm and suicide prevention counselling service for all age groups. It also operates the Suicide Bereavement Counselling centre, the Suicide Bereavement Liaison Service and the Freecall 24/7 Suicide Helpline 1800 247 247.
Post Leaving Certificate (PLC) courses are full-time programmes for young people who have completed their Leaving Certificate and adults returning to education. The courses develop technical and practical skills for an industry recognised qualification. They also offer an alternative route to higher education and give an opportunity to try out a subject of interest.
