Gambler’s Anonymous (GA) is an international peer support movement for those who wish to deal with a gambling addiction.
Members of GA attend regular meetings locally for peer support and follow the GA’s 12-step Recovery programme. These “steps” are a set of guidelines outlining a practical approach to recovery. The meetings are at the heart of the GA Recovery programme. They provide a confidential, safe place where members can share honestly about their experience and learn how to live life in recovery.
Gam-Anon: GA also offers support to family members and close friends affected by someone with a gambling addiction. Gam-Anon meetings are a safe, confidential space for them to come together.
Eligibility: The only requirement for membership of GA is a desire to stop gambling; there are no other rules or regulations.
How to access: To go to GA website or phone national office phone number for information about local GA meetings and Gam-Anon meetings
